Autumn was bored when we left for work – so she wiped up the yard with a Costco 12-pack of paper towels!!

Anxious dog needs to be trained. Am I the only person that doesn’t find these funny because it’s evident the owners need to do some obedience and anxiety training with their dogs?

Then why are you on this site?

Sometimes its boredom, not anxiety. Just because a dog rips up some paper towels does not mean it needs to see a psychiatrist. Oh my shit, my chihuaha is ripping apart his stuffed animal…he must need prozac.

Perhaps they do it because it’s fun, and they don’t have impulse control because they are dogs…

haha my cats do this – they think it’s fun.

I love the pic of her lying there like she is completely exhausted after a hard days work..lol.  I fault her mommy for this one. In our house, kleenex, paper towels, parmesan cheese left on the table, fake flowers, a bag of potatoes, the beanbag chair, etc are all there to tempt him and he cannot be held responsible if those items are damaged or peed on while left unattended for long periods of time.  someone needs to doggy proof the house..lol.  =)

I love it! My Ziven has “done his chores” too when left unattended- he swiffered the kitchen (entire box of swiffer sweeper pads shredded) and helped change the kitty litter (thankfully by chewing the top off the box of clean litter, not cleaning out the old!)

My dog is not bored or prone to anxiety, but I still need to keep TP, kleenex, and paper towels away from him because dogs like to rip those things up.  It’s not that uncommon and not a sign of poor dog training or parenting, come on commenters!

To the OP, I had to laugh at your house being effectively “TP’d” by your own dog.  :)

Massage helps heal the body and the mind, and can be a fantastic calming technique for an anxious dog. We’re lucky enough to have a massage therapist on staff at our classroom.
